Fewer than 2% of LinkedIn users actively post and engage. Connect & Act gives you a systematic approach built from four simple blocks – so you stop missing out, become the person your market notices, and turn quiet connections into real conversations.

When I moved to Sydney in 2016, I watched professionals treat LinkedIn as a dormant CV – while a handful used it to genuinely support their clients’ buying journeys. The difference was never charisma. It was having a system.
Connect & Act distils what I learned across 200-plus weeks of my #socialsellingmonday series into a method any professional can follow. It’s both a guide to read cover to cover and a reference to return to when you’re ready for the next move.
No paid ads, no company pages, no growth hacks. Just the organic craft of showing up with purpose – explained one bite-sized topic at a time, each with four concrete tips you can act on today.

This is the same principle I teach in my webinars and customer engagements.
A profile that works as your first impression to show what you do for whom, not a CV nobody reads.
Build the right audience deliberately – the online half of the room you already work.
Show up consistently with meaningful content in your own voice, without it eating your week.
Turn your enhanced presence into conversations, referrals and real opportunities.
These are the same four steps I wrote in Connect & Act. That book is the visible proof the method works.

Seven years after coming to Sydney, I launched the book in the exact same week – in the historic Castlereagh Boutique Hotel, on my birthday, 4 May 2023. Three professionals I met in my first week in 2016 attended the launch as well.
Connect & Act is the foundation. Three companions take the same systematic approach to specific audiences – jobseekers, startup founders and leaders.

Gunnar Habitz is an author, speaker and Social Selling consultant based in Sydney. He turned a weekly LinkedIn blogging series – #socialsellingmonday, now past 400 editions – into a systematic method for professionals who want their presence to work for their business.
After moving to Australia in 2016, he learned the craft from sales leaders including Tony J. Hughes, John Smibert and his coach Raul Kumar, then began improving profiles for everyone from financial advisers to not-for-profit professionals. He has since trained teams at Hootsuite and beyond, and writes the bi-weekly Learn From Books newsletter reviewing sales, leadership and entrepreneurship titles.
Today he manages agency partnerships across Asia Pacific at ActiveCampaign, holds the Chartered Manager designation from the Institute of Managers and Leaders, and serves as a Board Director at Sydney’s historic Castlereagh Boutique Hotel.
Stop posting at random. Build a LinkedIn presence that turns quiet connections into real opportunities – one deliberate brick at a time.
